If you don't know who Bas Rutten is, you're missing out. Something like fifteen years ago, he was the UFC heavyweight champion. He had a memorable come-from-behind K.O against Japanese start Tsuyoshi Kohsaka and was the perennial alpha male of the sport. He retired with the belt, which contributed to his legend. But as Bas got older, he got a little cuckoo and in 2003 he released Bas Rutten Lethal Street Fighting Self-Defense System (that some kind soul has made available on YouTube). Nothing wrong about showing people how to survive deadly attacks from low-life muggers, right?
It's not exactly that. If you have a slow Thursday at work, I strongly suggest you take an hour from your time and watch this mind-blowing piece of tutorial film. The tag line on the cover says: "Win Any Street Fight". That should clue you about the nature of this video right there. You don't WIN street fights unless you provoke them. In a perfect world, you don't go out in the street to pick a fight. Bas Rutten has opened an interesting Pandora's Box with this video and teaches you how to start shit and get away with it. In this video are the most violent and destructive techniques you can apply to a street fight. I found it to be a great inspiration to write fight scenes and a great entertainment all around. Here is it available for you, Bas Rutten's guide to being a bad guy in a street fight.
