I took the resolution, in 2013 I believe, to broaden my literary horizons and step away from thrillers and noir a little bit. For a reviewer, it's often a question of opportunity since you're often being sollicited within your niche expertise. I remember saying I wanted to explorer darker genres like bizarro, horror and dark fantasy, for example It's a ''better late than never'' case, but I'm going through my my resolution, thanks to Kraken Press, their head hocho George Cotronis and the Arcane Bundle. If you're looking to explore darker genres yourself, this is a good opportunity for you also.
It's a collection of seven eBooks, self-published or coming from small, indie publishers brought to you together on a pay-what-you-want model. You can literally get these seven books for the amount of money you desire (or can afford) and if you can shed $7 or more, you get TWO more books FOR FREE. I know a lot of you are the broke aesthete type, so it's a sweet fucking deal if you like to read as much as I do.
Here are the seven books in question:
Recovery, by Adam Aresty
If you're not a cheap bastard AND are willing to pay up to $7, the extra books are:
American Nightmare, a horror collection edited by George Cotronis
It's not like I'm trying to sell you a 499,99$ pre-packaged deal on appliances here. It's summer, there are a lot of great, cheap books to read and it's a tremendous opportunity to catch up if you're into darker genres like I am. Plus, you can pay whatever you want for, more or less, 30 bucks worth of material on the Kindle Store. You have a little more than a week left enjoy the Arcane Bundle. Do it.
